API-Accredited Thread Gauging Courses

Gauge Training’s hands-on thread gauging courses are designed for groups of 6 to 10 students and focus on proper use of precision gauges for API casing, tubing, and rotary shouldered connections. Students work directly with real gauges and thread samples during practical sessions. The course includes both a written examination and a physical measurement test to ensure proper knowledge retention. Results are submitted directly to API, and upon successful completion, students receive an API-recognized certificate. All students passing the final hands-on examination will also receive a personalized photo ID card recognizing them as an API accredited inspector with a validity of two years. Accreditation renewal training is also available.

API认证螺纹测量课程

Online Training Courses

Gauge Training also provides online training for individuals who are new to the oilfield industry or need an introduction prior to hands-on instruction. These courses cover thread fundamentals for tubing, casing, rotary shouldered connections, and precision visual inspection. Online courses are self-paced and can be completed at any time. Students must pass a short final assessment to receive a certificate. One of these courses is already available in Mandarin Chinese, making it more accessible for Chinese industry professionals.

在线培训课程

Gauge Training还为石油行业新手或需要在动手指导前进行入门学习的个人提供在线培训。这些课程涵盖油管、套管、旋转台肩连接的螺纹基础知识以及精密目视检验。在线课程为自定进度，可随时完成。学员必须通过简短的*终评估才能获得证书。其中一门课程已提供中文版本，方便中国行业专业人士学习。

API Specification Training Programs

Gauge Training develops and delivers official API Specification courses focused on helping participants understand and correctly interpret the latest API technical standards. These courses are taught in a classroom lecture format designed for larger groups of 15 to 30 participants and are conducted over three consecutive days. A final examination is required to demonstrate comprehension. Students who successfully complete the course receive an official certificate issued under Gauge Training's API accreditation framework. Courses currently available include API 5L and API 5CT, with API 5B and API 5CRA currently under development.

Calibration & Metrology Training

Gauge Training also offers hands-on calibration and metrology programs for companies who measure or calibrate equipment in-house. These courses teach the correct use, handling, and calibration procedures for precision measurement tools used throughout the oilfield and machining industries. Training is available in two main formats. The first is our Basic Hand Tools & Metrology Course, which focuses on commonly used inspection tools such as calipers, ID/OD micrometers, telescoping gauges, dial indicators, gauge blocks, and similar instruments. Students receive practical instruction and perform real calibration and measurement exercises to build confidence and proper technique.

Custom Calibration Course

This course is tailored specifically to the customer’s equipment and requirements. To build this course, the customer provides a complete list of their tools, gauges, and standards—including tool size and manufacturer. This ensures the training content directly matches the equipment and calibration environment used at the facility. Both course types include a final practical test designed around real parts provided by the customer. The customer may choose to use the exam strictly for evaluation purposes or as a formal pass/fail certification step. These programs are built to help companies strengthen internal competency, reduce measurement errors, and maintain consistent calibration practices aligned with industry expectations.

Mic Trac Calibration Training

Gauge Training also provides a dedicated Mic Trac Calibration Course designed specifically for companies using the Gagemaker Mic Trac system with the full CAL-PAK fixture set. This course focuses on teaching proper operation, calibration methodology, and best practices when using the Mic Trac for precision measurement. Training covers foundational principles such as environmental control, thermal effects, setup requirements, and equipment care, followed by step-by-step instruction on how to use each fixture in the CAL-PAK to calibrate a variety of tools. Students complete hands-on exercises throughout the course and perform real calibration activities using their own equipment. The class concludes with a practical assessment tailored to the tools used at the facility, ensuring operators can confidently apply proper calibration techniques in day-to-day operations. This course is ideal for companies looking to establish or strengthen internal calibrationprograms while maintaining traceable and consistent measurement practices.

Mic Trac校准培训
